  1. It's of Filling of choice (I used chicken).
  2. Prepare of Phyllo.
  3. You need of Egg(for egg wash).
  4. Prepare of Cheese.
  5. You need of Milk,oil,water(about 3tbsps each mixed together).
  6. It's of Black cumin seeds.

Mussel shaped Turkish borek instructions

  1. Mix the chicken filling with the cheese and set aside,then divide the Phyllo sheets into triangles and brush all over with the milk,oil and water mixture..
  2. Place your finger at the middle edge of the dough then pull in towards you pinching slightly to make pleats,leaving about two inches at the end.Then fold over the left over peace over the pleats and tuck in gently as shown in the picture..
  3. Place one side of the sheet over the other and put about a tbsp of filling at the edge,then gently fold over the sides ontop of the filling and roll over towards you..
  4. Then place on a baking tray lined with parchment and repeat with rest of sheets..
  5. Egg wash the top and sprinkle some black cumin seeds on top, bake in a preheated oven at 180C for about 20 to 25 mins or until golden brown..
